Mardi Gras isn't only a New Orleans tradition. The Mississippi Gulf Coast has its own carnival season, with parades and balls from Bay St. Louis to Ocean Springs.
Fat Tuesday is February 9, 2027
Carnival season builds through January and early February and ends on Fat Tuesday, February 9, 2027. On Fat Tuesday, the Gulf Coast Carnival Association rolls its Mardi Gras parade through Biloxi.
The parades
Coast parades usually fill the weekends leading up to Fat Tuesday, in Biloxi, Gulfport, Ocean Springs, Pass Christian, Bay St. Louis and other towns. Each krewe sets its own date, route and start time, and most 2027 schedules hadn't been published as of this writing. Check Coastal Mississippi's Mardi Gras page and the krewes' own pages as the season gets closer. We'll update this post when the schedules are out.
Getting there and back
Parade days mean road closures, packed parking lots and long walks back to the car. With a limo, your group gets dropped off near the route and picked up at a spot we agree on, so nobody has to find parking or drive home. It works well for Mardi Gras balls too, when guests are dressed up and nobody wants to walk far in formal wear.
Mardi Gras weekends book up early. Request a quote or call us to reserve your day.
Parade dates and times are set by each krewe and can change. Confirm with the official schedules before you go.
